Care instructions for Cordura products

Dirt and grime are inevitable on duty and during outdoor and leisure activities, so equipment needs to be cleaned from time to time. Most of the ZENTAURON products are made of Cordura® or a polyamide. As robust as the material is, it is worth removing dirt promptly before it has worked its way into the material.
We recommend cleaning by hand, as washing machine cleaning is not as gentle on the fabric and can shorten its service life.

Please do not use harsh detergents as this will damage the fabric. Cleaning by hand (recommended)

  1. Remove coarse dirt with a soft or medium-soft hand brush.
  2. Wash off the dirt with lukewarm water up to 30 °C, using the hand brush if necessary. For heavier dirt, curd soap can improve the result.
  3. We recommend allowing the Cordura® products to dry slowly and not leaving them in the sun or on a radiator.
  4. When everything is completely dry, the product can be sealed with textile impregnation spray (spray should always be used outdoors).
  5. We recommend using a special silicone-based care stick for the zippers.

Washing machine cleaning

  1. Remove all components that can be removed and then put the product in a laundry bag.
  2. We recommend using a color liquid mild detergent for washing because, unlike dry powder, it does not leave any residue.
  3. The washing temperature should not exceed 30 °C.
  4. The spin cycle should be avoided, as it exerts high forces that can damage the product.
  5. We recommend allowing Cordura® products to dry slowly and not placing them in the sun or on a radiator.
  6. When everything is completely dry, the product can be sealed with textile impregnation spray (spray should always be used outdoors).
  7. We recommend using a special silicone-based care stick for the zippers.
