The Vulcan QRS (Quick Release System) plate carrier is the drop-down version of the tried-and-tested Vulcan plate carrier. The unique release system can be attached on either the left or right and also enables partial or step-by-step dismantling. The guide for the haul rope is inside the shoulder straps and even allows them to be used as a cable duct. The ballistics fit the same size as the Vulcan plate carrier.
The QRS can be fitted with two size M SAPI ceramic plates or side plates in the Vulcan ballistic cummerbund. The cummerbund pair has also remained the same except for the ejection function; they can be fitted with Velcro magazine pouches, ballistic inserts and plates as usual. As is standard with Zentauron, the Vulcan QRS is compatible with both versions of the Vulcan plate carrier and all accessories.
The front of the Vulcan QRS is unchanged from the basic plate carrier and allows magazines or guide material to be stored via a Kangaroo Pouch in the front flap. On the inside is the opening to the plate pouch as well as 2 ergonomically shaped pads, which significantly increase carrying comfort and ventilation.
As a further development, the Vulcan QRS plate carrier builds on the entire range of experience of the basic Vulcan version and is a useful extension for units that require a drop function due to their range of tasks.
